I believe that is a plethora of Autozam AZ-1, which I only know of because of time on Oppo. I would love to have one just because of the quirkiness.

You know, I don’t remember his Oppo handle. He doesn’t post much. Real name is Randy, he used to own a Jimny (I spotted it at the YMCA and posted a photo on the FP, which is how we met) and still owns a Miata, and Autozam, and some kei pickup I’ve forgotten.

Amazing! It actually doesn't look quite as small next to a CX5 as you might think. It isn't the height but the width that gives it away. What a wonderful machine!

Don’t let the perspective fool you, It is super tiny. But I love it. I had to do a clutch in it, springs fell out of the center, but I’m still working my way up to trusting the cooling system won’t leak.

You should post about it more. Where do you even find a clutch small enough to fit it? I assume parts are all shipped over from Japan since we didn't get that engine family here. But are parts especially expensive and rare or is it just the shipping that drags everything out?

I had parts sent in from Japan. It was actually pretty comparable to a Ford Festiva clutch in size. The parts weren’t that much more expensive than normal USDM parts, and shipping was only about a week more than ebay parts.

That isn’t too bad. Those cars have enough of a cult following SOMEONE should be selling just about anything you need, even if you have to wait 3 or 5 weeks for it to arrive.

And I'm sure it is worth it once you start driving. Glorious!

Totally worth it. I’ve had an AW11 MR2, NA Miata, FB RX7, MX-3, etc. The Autozam blows them all away with fun to drive factor.

That really means something against that lot. Even the NA Miata and Mr. 2 lose to the Autozam. That's impressive. You really seem to have had some brave vehicle choices.
